Episode 016: Thoughts from Mom-nonymous

Episode 016: Leaving you a better man with special guest Vic Cohen I did enjoy this guest Vic Cohen. His humor is so ongoing and funny. He told about his amazing friend who he dated for quite awhile. She was so supportive of his desire to do writing comedy and all that goes with it. They did marry, but as in so many marriages the talk of starting a family came up. It was not on Vics’ agenda so in fairness to his wife, they divorced. It was the kind and respectful thing to do. Being single he did say he likes Tinder and has dated a variety of woman, even traveling to far away places to meet and date. Woman who have a “too-close” a relationship with an adolescent son is big turn-off. Then there are the dates that share how many depressants they are doing. So not all dates are fun  and on-going. His thoughts for dating are, “There is a season, a reason or the date who is for a lifetime.” Each week Mom-nonymous shares her thoughts on the episode. Episode 014: Old Fashioned Love Song with special guest Rolan Whitt Sorry I guess it got deleted in the sent mail. I didn’t mean too. But I wasn’t happy with it at all. But I did say a bit more on your friend. I’ll sum it up, he should have been aware that the gal he married was not going to tolerate his career in entertainment long term. Dads waiting to go eat. Episode 013: Thoughts from Mom-nonymous

By lifelafterdivorce|May 3, 2017|Thoughts from Mom-nonymous, Uncategorized|

Episode 013: Be Healthy with special guest Suzy Hardy …So without FURTHER ADO My review on your podcast: It was different in that Suzy experienced break-up relationships versus an actual divorce. Let me elaborate on how I look at that. That is basically lost love and time together. Where in marriage there is a stronger commitment and sometimes with religion involved and sometimes not. It is more of a process with engagement, wedding planning, bridal showers, and bachelor and bachelorette parties. Sorry  I can’t spell that one. Anyway, what I’m saying is, generally speaking…by the time the wedding takes place, a couple has spent more time together. Deciding on where to live buying furniture, house wares etc., possibly with family and friends approval. And t’s so much more than that. It’s talking over finances, bank accounts and how you handle all of that for your future years together. A divorce involves so much more aside from heartache. Dividing all that a couple acquires, cars, house, kids, joint bank accounts. Not easy to do when you are diminishing the dreams while you are hurting. It can be a long process to get through and acquiring a lawyer only adds to expenses. My take on a relationship: I

Episode 012: Thoughts from Mom-nonymous

Episode 012: I Will Survive with special guest Carolyn Luckett Well I did listen to you and The Boyfriend’s podcast. This one hit on a different line of experiences. Strange from the start. Not only did they both sign up for the military, but neither ended up going in. They had very different ideas on where this would go. She apparently did not have much girl talk with a close girlfriend or her Mom during any of this. I do understand that back then one didn’t admit to your Mom when you thought you made a mistake because of  shame in marrying the wrong guy. But once it’s physical whom else would you trust to help??? She endured so much especially during her pregnancies and eventually leading into legally fighting over the kids. Unfortunately, it dragged on for a long time, but she is finally in a happy place today. Hopefully much smarter and a lot stronger. I wish her the best. She certainly shared it all. The Boyfriend –I think you asked really good questions. The two of you did your research prior and that added a lot. Good podcast. Be proud. I am. Episode 011: Thoughts from Mom-nonymous

Episode 011: On The Other Side, Marc Adam Smith Marcs’ one-year marriage made for your shortest podcast. He had a different take on divorce than the others for the reason he really didn’t have as much invested in to it. Also, he and his wife came from broken homes of sorts and were so young. No big deal. They just moved on and away from one another. Their investment wasn’t solid going in. It’s probably why he really never talked about it to you or many of his friends. But I enjoyed it. Episode 010: Thoughts from Mom-nonymous

Episode 010: What Might Have Been with special guest Brian Baron Thanks for sending this week’s podcast. I listened to it last night. I think we got his entire biography — so thorough with an occasional back track. Very funny guy. He must have been sucking on a slurpee or snorting cocaine from time to time. [editors note: he was smoking/vaping] I wish he would’ve shared what he did for a living after saying that he had lived in Manhattan twice. Also, he mentioned the therapy they all took part in –very expensive –and he said his grown son was still going. His wife was greatly influenced by her family. That may be really why it failed. I don’t agree with him on saying you really know everything you know about a person 1st time you meet. Not enough red flags show up from the get go. I did enjoy it though. Thanks for sending it Love Mom Each week Mom-nonymous shares her thoughts on the episode. Mom-nonymous is a wife, mom, and listener of Life Lafter Divorce Podcast. Episode 009: Enter Sandman with special guest David Mayan That was soooo interesting and really nice that you and The Boyfriend had great questions. You should have shown him the picture of you sound asleep on your closet floor when you were 3 years. Nothing bothered you then. GREAT advertising for David too. Episode 008: Warrior with special guest Anne Walker I enjoyed this one also. Can’t believe an ex marine accepted his treatment to her, but happy she eventually got her mojo back and left him. She is right though, YOU have to love yourself. Fortunately she does and is 200% happier today. I hope she gets into comedy with the strength she has acquired and makes great fun of her ex. The applause will make her smile. Each week Mom-nonymous shares her thoughts on the episode. Mom-nonymous is a wife, mom, and listener of Life Lafter Divorce Podcast. Episode 007: Thoughts from Mom-nonymous

By lifelafterdivorce|March 22, 2017|Thoughts from Mom-nonymous, Uncategorized|

Episode 007: Learning to Fly with special guest Sal Coladonato I enjoyed this broadcast a lot. Sal (if that’s his name) has a very thought out perspective on his relationship. I think it’s due to their on and off time over the years. Realizing that even when they have fought and as mad as he gets, and not having her at his side –SHE STILL MATTERS. The time apart put his true feelings in perspective. When Sal got over his anger, the result was always the same. She still completes him. In marriage you do become a team and they will go through so many different chapters over the years.I think he gets and wish him the best. Good questions on your part and love the intro with you and The Boyfriend. Love your giggles. Each week Mom-nonymous shares her thoughts on the episode.
