Episode 24: Rearrange your life with special guest Donna Stellhorn Your guest today Donna Stellhorn shared many life changing ideas. Great for divorcees and even myself. So interesting. Enjoyed The Feng Shui and the cleansing methods of ridding oneself of bad memories from past relationships. Shaking memories and ridding oneself of material reminders. So smart. Donna’s ideas to make oneself and your space more appealing for future dating. Loved her mention of too many pillows on the bed. I can see that as a real deterrent. I’ll have to rid myself of those tomorrow. My honey will be so much happier. Feng has changed my life. Each week Mom-nonymous shares her thoughts on the episode. Her advice would make her a millionaire if she could bottle it and put it on the market. I’ve never been divorced but what great advice to anyone on what really matters in ones’ life. Episode 020: Thoughts from Mom-nonymous

Episode 020: We Are Family with special guest Kristin Sawyer Yesterday your guest was Kristen whom left us with much to think about concerning children of divorce. Great advice for any parent who is going through or going to get one. Children are always listening especially when parents argue or in some cases physically fighting. This really affects a child. Therapy, especially with children, but more so for the parents is crucial. It is vital for parents to address all aspects of their divorce through therapy. They need the guidance and prospective to get them through this for the changes in all their lives. It is great that it is no longer frowned on. The two of you asked great questions of Kristen, especially where to get this help. She also clarified when therapy goes on ones record and when it doesn’t. This hour was so helpful and informative. I enjoyed her knowledge and your bringing it to us. Episode 019: Thoughts from Mom-nonymous

Episode 019: Improvising with special guest Maddie O’Hara Yesterdays’ podcast was somewhat different than usual. Your guest was your friend Madeline O’Hara. The topic was changed up a bit. It centered on how much taking improv classes can help a person through a very trying time in their life especially after a divorce or break-up. Something in which the two of you had in common. Descriptions of what improv entails and how anyone can gain confidence in oneself and enjoy themselves in a way that they had never thought possible. Laughter is the best medicine. The other great benefit in doing this is making new friends. Watching your students come out of their shell and have fun, coming back for more classes week after week had to be so rewarding for yourselves. I enjoyed this podcast a lot. Episode 018: Cheating  with special guest Letter from Anonymous Listener My heart goes out to your guest whom I’m sure is in a lot of pain. I haven’t experienced this, but I can’t deny that the thought of it makes one cringe. I would imagine that it would consume ones mind. That being said, I’m sure the emotions can be uncontrollable. Let’s hope that she has someone to lean on to help her through it. The two of you gave good advice and researched statistics which is helpful. The Boyfriend –your past experiences are enlightening in that you could forgive and work past her cheating. It does prove that it can be fixed. I hope your podcast helps her to re-evaluate thoughts and more importantly her feelings and trust. Each week Mom-nonymous shares her thoughts on the episode. Episode 017: Thoughts from Mom-nonymous

By lifelafterdivorce|May 31, 2017|Thoughts from Mom-nonymous, Uncategorized|

Episode 017: The Big D & The Other Big D with special guest Saundra Fitzpatrick This story is probably quite common in today’s world. But this is a first for me to hear. It certainly was like a bad dream for Saundra who endured this for a number of years. It always came down to what ever bad happened it was her fault. Such a sad tale. As I listened to her relive as she shared it with all of us, I can only imagine that it may open the eyes of others who heard her. Saundra, when you went to the bank to get your very own bank account you said you cried and talked with a stranger about this. WOW. I applaud you. It was your 1st step toward mental freedom. You had a very hard road ahead of you, and eventually divorced that SOB. I’m aware that you have scars from all of this as do your children, but with the love and caring of your present husband. I wish you the best. I’m proud that you did graduate college with honors. I know your knowledge and future career will help many others. Leanne, tell Saundra I wish she were here so I could

Episode 016: Leaving you a better man with special guest Vic Cohen I did enjoy this guest Vic Cohen. His humor is so ongoing and funny. He told about his amazing friend who he dated for quite awhile. She was so supportive of his desire to do writing comedy and all that goes with it. They did marry, but as in so many marriages the talk of starting a family came up. It was not on Vics’ agenda so in fairness to his wife, they divorced. It was the kind and respectful thing to do. Being single he did say he likes Tinder and has dated a variety of woman, even traveling to far away places to meet and date. Woman who have a “too-close” a relationship with an adolescent son is big turn-off. Then there are the dates that share how many depressants they are doing. So not all dates are fun  and on-going. His thoughts for dating are, “There is a season, a reason or the date who is for a lifetime.” Each week Mom-nonymous shares her thoughts on the episode. Mom-nonymous is a wife, mom, and listener of Life Lafter Divorce Podcast. She’s been married for over 50 years, has never been divorced, and
